The Wandering Tradition
“We reimagine tradition because we believe the most vibrant cultures are those that never stop moving.”
We are México Reimaginado.
We are born of a conviction: roots are not a place to stay, but a point of departure from which to keep creating.
Our music is shaped by Mexico, but also by everything we encounter along the way.
No culture exists in isolation.
Cultures speak to one another, transform one another, and grow richer with every new encounter.

That is why we reimagine the Mexican songbook.
We begin with melodies held in our collective memory and carry them into new territories where tradition, improvisation, and contemporary musical languages coexist. We seek neither to reproduce the past nor to replace it. We seek to enter into conversation with it.
Each work is an encounter among different eras, places, and ways of understanding the world. Rather than simply reinterpreting songs, we accompany traditions on their journey as they continue to be written.
We believe in art rooted in its own culture yet open to the world. Knowing where we come from does not constrain the imagination—it gives it depth and direction. Only by recognizing our own voice can we enter into dialogue with others without losing who we are.
We travel to learn, to share, and to return with new questions. Every journey transforms the way we see and opens the path to the next creation.
We do not want to preserve tradition behind glass.
We want to walk beside it.
Because reimagining Mexico does not mean changing its essence.
It means showing that tradition remains alive when it can reinvent itself.
A tradition that stops moving risks becoming a memory.
A wandering tradition, by contrast, never stops living.
